How can National Weather Service (NWS) messages be automatically rebroadcast to Facebook or Twitter?

Answer:

Follow the steps listed in Posting Nixle Messages to Facebook & Twitter to first grant access for Nixle to post to your Facebook or Twitter account, and then follow the steps listed below.

1. Log in to your Nixle account at agency.nixle.com.
2. Choose Message Center from the menu bar.
3. Choose Rebroadcasts from the sub-menu bar.
4. Choose the desired Rebroadcasts type from the left-side panel.
5. Check the corresponding checkboxes next to any of the desired rebroadcast type.
6. Select the desired Message Type.
7. From the Reach Recipients by pane, select Facebook, Twitter, or both.
8. Select the desired Message Recipients.
9. To set a time range for SMS and Email / Web Message rebroadcasts to not be sent ("blackout time"):
   1. Select Turn off from.
   2. Set the desired time range.
10. Select Save.
    1. Repeat steps 4 through 10 to rebroadcast any additional message types (Warnings, Advisories, Watches).
