Nixle Release Notes 22.03

The purpose of this document is to communicate new features, enhancements, fixes, and known problems and workarounds.

This document describes the General Availability of the May 2022 Nixle release, version 22.03.

Improvements to Existing Features

Publications Twitter Authentication We have improved the handling of permissions errors when sending to Twitter. Now, if there is an issue with your agency's Twitter permissions, a popup will guide you through the steps to correct the error.

This will help ensure you have more reliable access to Twitter when sending your publications. note this will not delay your urgent publications, as you can press cancel and then uncheck the Twitter path to get your publication sent out. You will be reminded again later to re-grant permissions.

Publications Spell Checker Nixle has removed the "Check Spelling" option on the new publication form, for the Email/Web/App Body. This spell check functionality was causing the new publication form page to crash and is no longer supported.
The "Enable SCAYT" or Spell-check-as-you-type option will remain as the primary spell-checking tool.
